Texas UIL State Championship Weekend

The Aledo Bearcats overcame a slow start to race past Smithson Valley 51-8 in the Class 5A Division I state championship game. An incredible 11 of the Bearcats 12 state titles overall have been earned in the last 15 years.

For the first time in school history, the boys basketball state championship is coming home to Guyer High School. The Wildcats put the finishing touches on a storybook campaign on Saturday night at the Alamodome, beating Katy Jordan High School 48-47 to win the Class 6A Division II state title.
