First Quarter Blitz Guyer's high-octane offense was unstoppable in the opening frame. Star running back Kaedyn Cobbs set the tone immediately, punching in two short rushing touchdowns within the first eight minutes of the game to give the Wildcats an early 14-0 lead. The onslaught continued with a 36-yard field goal from Andrew Johnson, followed by Cobbs scoring his third touchdown of the quarter with 42 seconds remaining, giving Guyer a commanding 24-0 lead as the teams headed into the second period. Wildcats Seal the Deal The Warriors scored early in the third quarter to bring the score to 31-21, but the margin was never seriously threatened again. Guyer kicker Andrew Johnson provided a cushion by drilling a 48-yard field goal to push the lead to 34-21. The exclamation point came in the fourth quarter when running back Aiden Martens broke free for a spectacular 92-yard touchdown run, sealing the 41-21 victory for the Wildcats and giving them the decisive first win of their campaign. Cobbs was the star of the night, dominating the ground game for the Wildcats. The victory improved Denton Guyer's record to 1-1 after an opening-week loss to Aledo, while Arlington Martin dropped to 0-2.
