Guyer Defense Dominates Little Elm in 29-0 Road Victory: LITTLE ELM, TX — The Denton Guyer Wildcats continued their District 5-6A dominance on Thursday night, delivering a smothering defensive performance in a decisive 29-0 shutout victory over the Little Elm Lobos. The win extended Guyer's district winning streak and marked their third consecutive road victory, propelled by a punishing ground game and relentless defensive pressure. Cobbs and the Ground Game Lead the Charge The Wildcats' offense was clinical, relying on their powerful running back, Kaedyn Cobbs, and an overall dominant offensive line. Cobbs was the engine, rushing for 121 yards and finding the end zone twice. Guyer methodically built its lead, scoring primarily on the ground to take control of the game early. Running back Aiden Martens also contributed significantly to the rushing effort, adding 87 yards and a touchdown, as the Wildcats compiled 273 rushing yards as a team. The team's final points came late in the fourth quarter on a safety, which was quickly followed by a short rushing touchdown by Martens, effectively sealing the 29-0 result. Defense Delivers the Shutout While the offense controlled the clock, the Guyer defense was the star of the show. They were impenetrable all night, securing the first shutout of the season for the Wildcats. The defensive front applied constant pressure, recording three sacks, with Khyren Haywood logging two of them. The defensive unit refused to allow the struggling Lobos to establish any rhythm, holding them scoreless for all four quarters and allowing minimal yardage. The performance was a testament to Guyer's improved road defense, which had surrendered an average of only 14.0 points over the previous two road victories. The victory improves Denton Guyer's record to 6-2 overall and 5-0 in District 5-6A play, keeping them firmly in the hunt for the district championship. Little Elm, unfortunately, fell to 0-8 overall with the defeat.
